Multifamily Affordable Housing Strategy

City of Detroit (2018)

This report outlines the City’s goals for affordable housing as well as the strategies underpinning those goals. These two goals are: preserve the affordability of 10,000 units of multifamily housing by 2023 to retain quality affordable housing options for residents, use all available tools to prevent the loss of quality unregulated affordable multifamily housing, and produce 2,000 new affordable multifamily housing units by 2023, equivalent to 20% of projected overall multifamily housing development.
